I have two unhealthy obsessions: werewolves and toads.

And if you say my username three times in a mirror, I will appear in your bathroom, pet your cats, take a Pepsi from your fridge and steal all your loose change.

Here's the second poster in the same series as "Toad Biology" penningtonbeast.deviantart.com…

The idea was to take a quote and make a gestalt image out of it. I chose this one because of the humorous irony.

The A and the circle are supposed to represent "closure" but I don't know if I really like the result, so I might change it or nix it altogether. The cross is supposed to represent "grouping" since it's only made out of red squares. So there's that.

Also, if anyone gets in a big philosophical argument over this, I will not engage you. Unless you say something so dumbfoundingly stupid that I just hafta. Just look at it as a piece of design.

And sorry for the ugly watermark.

Critique definitely welcome.

Toad Biology by PenningtonBeast
Toad Biology
An assignment from Graphic Design class that I thought I'd share. Anyone who's ever owned a pet toad knows what I'm talking about. Inspired by Vincent.

EDIT: Fixed the typos and made the whoopee cushion slightly bigger.

The second painting due for my Digital Painting class. We had to do an underwater scene, so I chose to do a ribbon eel and some green sea turtles. The underwater light effects were made using this tutorial: www.digitalartsonline.co.uk/tu…

We were required to use that.

As always, critique is welcome and encouraged!

Initiation by PenningtonBeast
Initiation
This is the first finished painting from my Digital Painting class. The idea was to take several of the figure drawings we did the first few weeks of class and arrange them into a composition. Clothing, lighting, and other elements were added later.

My idea was a group of new initiates to the pack transforming for the first time while the alpha female looks on with her guardians.

Critique is welcome, because I might go back in and polish it up when I have more time. At this rate, that might be by June. lol
